BlogHeiress Blogs And Social Networks

I found a few recent studies in my travels around the net on statistics for Bloggers πŸ™‚ Of course, not all the same types of people blog but statistically bloggers are largely male πŸ™‚ and it seems that more than half have an income of over $75,000 annually. 42% of bloggers today have attended graduate school πŸ™‚

More than half of bloggers out there now are currently on their (at least) second blog site, blog, or platform.Β  (I am as well), but more than half have been blogging for two or more years too (like me ).

I find these statistics interesting but they will soon change as the blogging explosion has arrived and is growing in numbers by the minute.

One of the largest categories of Blog Types is really the Topic Type blog. I think mainly because this subject encompasses such a large arena. Bloggers who are into History could Topic Blog about Historians, Americans, Europe, The Romans, Greeks, or Isreals History. I have compiled a list of sorts of ideas for Blog Titles and Topic Types:

“The Inner Workings of Techno”

Tables and Chairs”

The Science of Sociology” (Astronomy, Physics, etc.)

“Egypt and It’s Tombs”

“How Does It Work?”

“Things That Are Round”

“Writing Utensils”

“Types of Blogs”

“Felines and Their Ways”

“Berries” Check Out for one on this πŸ™‚

“The Blues”

Write your passion. Write what you love, find interesting, or for that matter what you want to learn more about πŸ™‚ This could be a topic blog on your adventures into learning something that you would like to know. This is how blogging started for me. I needed more information on a certain topic and wanted a “holding area” to keep everything I learned as it is often difficult to find “saved” bookmarks in your own files if they are a bit crowded LOL πŸ™‚ Wetpaint Wikis are an awesome holding type topic blog site as is WordPress here.

Enjoy your blogging πŸ™‚

{February 22, 2009}   Blogs – Types of Blogs

Having made step by step videos on How To navigate and use different blog platforms and How To use the blogging areas on some of the big social networks like MySpace, Facebook, and My Yearbook,Β  but then … what do you write about?

Types of Blogs You Can Create πŸ™‚

Topic Blogs – Actually this site is a “Topic” blog, so is, but these two are also a How To blog as well. Any broad, general, global, town related subject whether it’s a “World” blog or just a State, your topic can be Animals in the World (broad topic) or Primates in the Jungle (a bit more narrow) or Chimps in the NY Zoo (very specific πŸ™‚ Americans is a great topic as well, Ben Franklin for example. You could post about him for a whole month, then next month post on George Washington πŸ™‚

Topic blogs have such a diverse inclusion like Fashion, Travel, Dreams, My Trip, Educational Institutions, Cats, etc. Many choices here. Write what you love πŸ™‚

Salesy Web Site Blogs – Sites that look a Christmas Sale at the Mall with Flashy Banners, Sales Fluff around every corner. These do attract attention to some and may work for you.

Photo Sites – A great Photo style blog can be found at but it is any chosen photo you select to “be” the blog and add a line or few of explanation or interest, location … etc. to your picture πŸ™‚

Journal Blogs – A great example of a journal style blog is or Stevies blog is a journal style, write as you sort of story teller or what’s up with my day or life type blog πŸ™‚

VLogs or Video Blogs – Of course the best place to see a VLog is at a Video Social Network at someones profile page like me πŸ™‚ I have a bunch of friends there that have very different styles of VLogs too which are easy to find at YouTube, like a musician style where they play and take videos of either them on stage or create a story video to go with their songs; “Let’s Talk” sort of videos, How To, Real Life, and more.

Explanation or Definition Blogs – These are quite similar to the How To style blogs but are mostly like a Wikipedia style topic blog that gives a detailed explanation with examples πŸ™‚ They don’t need to be using the Wikipedia platform of course, but this one on Blog is a good example. A really great Explanation blog will have many resource links to other relevant posts or sites.

Review Blogs – These are usually quite helpful blogs in general as you can open up several and see what different views there are out there on any given iten, topic, company, laundry soap lol, or whatever you are looking for opinions on. To write this style blog you will need to have more than an idea of the subject. If you do a review site on restaraunts for example, you would be a person who frequently visits new restaraunts and has a grasp of a great dining out experience with out being hyper critical. Point out the pros and cons so to speak πŸ™‚ If you write a review style blog, you could link to the items that you review for more link backs, information, or to monetize your site if these are your items on Amazon or EBay.

List Blogs – This is a fun way to blog. 7 ways to bake a cake, 11 types of tennis shoes, 8 reasons why you should exercise, 100 favorite songs of the year, the top 5 social networks, etc. With a list style blog, you can start a post with the original list, then take each (#1, #2, etc.) and make an in depth post on each number, it will get you a whole series of posts and help you with your posts πŸ™‚

Group, Team, or Company Style Blogs – A site for any specific organization, group or team. This type of blog is geared toward your members of the company, pack, sports organization, guild, or party to get information out to them. A communication type blog just for a specific sector of people.

Most blogs fall into one or more (or a subset) of these categories, but as categories go, they could be sub divided into many, many more smaller or specific types like with the Topic Blog especially πŸ™‚

Lokking at the list of blog types that WordPress has will help you as well. This list will keep you clear of the No-No Types of Blogs to create πŸ™‚

Have fun with your blog and write what you are passionate about or you may not be blogging long out of boredom πŸ™‚

Checking into MyBlogLog and Zimbio will get you some additonal blog attention!

We often hear the word “focus” in the same context as blogging instruction but what does it really mean and who does it really mean it for?

Focus in the blogging platform or social networking world refers to shooting toward reaching your “target” audience. Who would you like to visit your social networks and read your blog sites? What demographic? Now, why would the blogs and social networks person care who came to visit? Marketing to be precise.

If a blogger is marketing a particular product, they would then care very much who came to see their sites. For example) If your product was a health and wellness sort of “Vitamin” product, then a “Get Healthy or “Stay Healthy” sort of blog would hit the nail on the head to some degree. What if the product is “Vitamin D”? Then focus would get you to a site much more focused on bone health instead of overall health.

Who else would want to focus their sites? If you aren’t marketing a product but would like to gain a high rating with Google, become an expert, or just have a very popular site full of specific information, then focus is for you πŸ™‚

Do Stevie and Stephanie at Blogs and Social Networks focus? I can’t say that we do actually πŸ™‚ Encompassing the entire subject of Blogs and Social Networks (and not that we even come close to hitting every site) is not really a very focused, specific topic. To hold true to many blogging platforms, we have many blogs specifically geared towards Blogs and Social Networks and are members of multiple social networks. It is rather a broad subject area but holds a great example of what it means to go smaller from it and more focused.

Blogs and Social Networks …

Social Networks That Have Blog Capability …

MySpace and Facebook …

Or You could go from Blogs and Social Networks …

to Blogs about Social Networks …

then onto blogs about MySpace and Facebook …

or to be less focused, blogs about the major social networks.

Recall why we focus again, to appeal to a group who will more likely be interested in our topics, information, and offers.

Sometimes focus is not important. A very wide spectrum blog works quite well and attracts visitors. The blog remains on a subject, but a very wide subject much like Blogs and Social Networks or Video Games and Gaming. Again, with Video Games and Gaming, this can become much more focused a topic …

Video Games and Gaming …

Console Games …

Wii Games …

Wii Fit Games …

Or you can choose to create sub sections (or pages) of your blog (or create a wiki at wetpaint) to house focused topics like this but name your blog a wider topic name.

Once the understanding of why a blogger is told to focus comes into … well … errr … “focus” … then it becomes clear whether or not you actually should decide to look into it all or not. Are you trying to reach a “target” audience? or do you just want to be sure that your writings are helping whoever searches that info out?

With searches, keywords really take the drivers seat here. How do visitors actually find what you have? Think about your tags, labels and keywords (all one in the same, with just a different name at different blog site platforms) What will those ask who wish to find your answers? How you label and categorize your posts matters greatly to the seeker of your posts. If you have a post on How To Make Ice Cream, then your top keywords probably should be: Ice Cream, Ice Cream How To, How To Make Ice Cream, Frozen Desserts, and Dessert Recipes. Then add your name or alias (Stephanie Haile aka Wavecritter) (author title) as another keyword, you could use the blog platform as another if you wished (ie: WordPress, Blog Talk Radio, Blogger) and then peruse through your post for a few select keyword phrases running together in the text and standing out. Use these as well (In this post it would be “Blogging instruction” blogging Platform” or Social Networking”). There you go, you just greatly assisted your visitors in arriving at your information πŸ™‚

However much you really wish to focus on your blogs and social networks in this manner is entirely up to you … do remember that every person is unique, every blog is unique, and every social network is unique and that each has it’s own attractions for a reason … they are all different πŸ™‚ Cookie cutter is not generally the way to go to become different, although you could begin with the design and “color” or “decorate” it however you like πŸ™‚

With a very focused blog site, focused right from the creation date on , you will need to think about where to actually get the word out or “effectively market” this site. Groups (first and foremost) in the social networking communities are the number one best places to market an on topic blog. Probably placing a link on a Gardening blog in a group on fishing is not going to be your first choice group πŸ™‚ But, possible the people at the fishing group are also interested in gardening as well and it may do some good πŸ™‚ Seek out the gardening groups to introduce your gardening blog to first though πŸ™‚

Your keywords will be the “behind the scenes” marking engine for you while you manually market your site to and through other Blogs and Social Networks sites. Getting backlinks is quite easy. Log into your blog platform (ie: WordPress, Blogspot, Vox, Livejournal …) then browse through other blog sites on the same platform, either on your topic or on another, comment on their posts as you view some sites. Each comment you leave (while logged in) will send a link back to your site via the “icon” or username info left on the comment πŸ™‚ Nope, you don’t really need to “rely” on friends to actually list you on their blogroll.

Use your blog URL as part of every bio, info, or profile area on all of your social networks and think about securing a clever domain name for your blog site πŸ™‚ I chose , .com , , .org , and .net for our main blog platforms (Wetpaint, WordPress, Blog Talk Radio, and Blogspot). One is fine, there is no need to get all (info, com, net, etc) this way when you redirect the domain to your blog URL, it is now a much easier name to remember. is easier (I hope lol) than for instance.

These are some good tips, we will be writing some more soon. Stay tuned for Blogs And Social Networks

How Do You Make Your MySpace Show Up On Google?

This is really an easy question, although I came across the answer purely by accident πŸ™‚ I had come up with the name Wavecritter back in the 90’s (yes, 1990’s lol :). Playing around on Neopets (very early actually upon conception of the site πŸ™‚ and I had signed up at few sites using Wavecritter (I will tell you where that name came from at the end of the post). But, later on when MySpace came around, I had been using Wavecritter for a few years and thought I would stick with it. Well, I happened to change my display name to Wavecritter like this:

Wavecritter MySpace

Wavecritter MySpace

And there you go! That’s it…the big secret πŸ™‚ Be sure your Display name is the search term you wish your page to come up for πŸ™‚

Also, it helps quite a bit if your URL for MySpace is the same as your Display Name πŸ™‚ Be sure it is what you want and how you want to be searched because that will be the primary search term for your MySpace page to come up to πŸ™‚

Wavecritter MySpace

Wavecritter MySpace

Keep in mind, you need to create some “buzz” on your site by adding comments, changing your profile just a bit every few days for a while (about a month is good for a higher rating it seems), changing the “What are you doing now? and the thing with the smiley icon guy πŸ™‚ And, making friends, because that’s what MySpace is really for πŸ™‚

Wavecritter MySpace

Wavecritter MySpace

Make me a friend over there too if you wish, I would dig it πŸ™‚

Ohhhhh … Wavecritter, right! OK … I really thought long and hard on that name. I was not going to have to be stuck with numbers πŸ™‚ So, my Dad has always called “things” “critters” , that part was easy πŸ™‚ Then, I was way up in the Great White North at the time and missing the sand, surf, and yes …. you guessed it …. Waves! Easy to put together from here right? LOL Cool Beans!

Blogs and Blogging Offline Business Online

Hema Netherlands

Hema Netherlands

Store front business owners are, of course, quite diverse. First in types of businesses and then types of personalities between business owners, differences regionally, nationally. A diamond retailer is going to market his or her business quite differently than a local hardware store would. Of course it must, but in saying this opens up the possibilities to not only types of advertising, but the endless ways of using and tweaking these types of advertising to suit you and your business type.

Small business owners have built nations on repeat customers and the tips listed here are for the business owner who wants to spend time to gain some extra attention to their particular small business. By doing that “little extra”, it will draw new customers and by focusing on your service or offering only the products you would also purchase and are excited about, you will acquire repeat customers.

For instance, my focus on the Internet has been Blogs and Social Networks and finding viable, doable, free advertising alternatives to market successfully online. Creating free websites to house this information and get the word out to others is that “little extra”.

Answering visitors questions to the best of my ability or referring them to someone who has the answers would then be the focus and excitement. “Spend your time on your business and you will acquire a wealth of success”. This saying is all about focus, goal setting and goal attaining, and your personal definition of success. “There is more then one definition?” of course. Success means many things to many people and at times during peoples lives. The meaning of success can change even for individuals.

Success might mean becoming a millionaire, obtaining your dream boat, vehicle, or home, or it could be simply providing the best service and gaining happy customers which, in turn, will create a wealth of success.

With blogs and blogging and small business or free webs site building and small business marketing online, connecting with a “hub” site like your Chamber of Commerce or an individual small business site for your region or area will make a dramatic difference in your online visibility. Exchange links with that site by adding a link to it on your blog or free webs site and asking if they will also list your site on their page. Adding your business URL to the Yellow Pages online, Craigs List, blog submission sites (if you have a blog), and exchanging links with other small business owners who have sites in your area will also help in your online exposure.

If your small business does not yet have a separate blog site, give this some thought. A blog will offer you the opportunity to help your chosen keywords to rate higher and show up on the first search pages of Google searches for your keywords and terms. Linking your blog site to sites like Digg, Technorati, MyBlogLog, and other business style blog sites is not as time consuming as you may believe if you stay focused. A bit at a time, one step each day and you will be listed at your chosen spots. To maintain your blog, posting “before and after” photos of your work and How To snippets on topic. For instance, if you are a home builder, a how to on wallpaper application; if you are a lawn service business, photos and how to create a raised flower bed, types of grass, fertilizers; for restaurants, which spices to have in your home, specials of the day listings, how to sear beef, famous people who have eaten in your bistro, and photos of your featured dishes. Try to post something everyday but at least three times a week.

Add a blog roll, news features pertaining to your topic, videos, or similar businesses in other countries or states. Feature your own web sites on a post every month or so and create a Hubpage or Squidoo lens after about twenty or so posts using your favorite five posts from your blog, photos, video, an RSS feed from your blog, news sources on topic, and how tos and then feature that new site on your blog. This is just another way to gain more exposure and attention to your business.

For more examples: if you have a home and property maintenance business try posting on how to fix a faucet or which tools every homeowner should have; a local convenience store owner might have a static post (a home page of sorts that upon arriving at the blog all come to) with a basic listing of what they have to offer with sub posts featuring individual items and why people would want to purchase them.

Gaining exposure and attention with one lone blog site does not take an inordinate amount of time out of your day. With a possible log of sorts for yourself on pages you deem private (unpublished). These pages can be created on WordPress and FreeWebs just to name a few. Posting a picture blog with one or two sentences of explanation for each is an easy and interesting way to blog if text content seems a daunting task.

Using widgets that refresh automatically for news on topic (there are some for WordPress, Blogger, LiveJournal, and most of the major blog sites) will help with fresh content on your blog.

Everyones heard about flyers and business cards but getting out and about at the local flea markets and farmers markets is a plus. Get business cards and actually hand them out if you are sure, excited and driven about your business. Tshirts with your URL on them also are a great conversation starter if your website URL is easy to remember and cannot readily be misspelled, not many forget GoDaddy or Google.

Signs are not always cheesy, they work. Vehicle magnets from sites like VistaPrint are a given and quite inexpensive. Corner signs (you know like garage signs) actually do bring in new customers who did not even know you were there.

Using these techniques will enhance your online exposure. Potential customers who use search engines like Google will begin to visit your blog or FreeWebs site and in turn find your local business. If you have a lot to post and say, would like a way for you customers to register at your site, or need many pages, try a wiki at Wetpaint, a Ning, or FreeWebs. This will also give you the opportunity to have your customers post testimonies, comments, and questions.

Market This! Gaining Attention To Your Business

Gaining attention to your business, actually gaining the right attention is the plan.

You have spent your whole life either finding ways to get noticed yourself or watching others figure ways. What kind of attention do you draw as an individual and what sorts of attention do others draw to them that you have witnessed? Marilyn Monroe commanded attention but possibly not the type of attention you would like with your home business, possibly, and if so, study how she attracted this attention and attempt duplication. Harrison Ford gained his attention by perseverance and kept it with his excellent acting abilities. Babe Ruth was attraction all his own. Not only was he an incredible ball player, but he was also outspoken which drew even more attention. Snoopy was a Dolly Madison cakes figure head in the television commercials and his attraction was colorful and happy.

You can choose to market in any style, using multiple mediums, and inspiring different emotions to your potential customers. I have seen the use of negative sales tactics used entirely too much. The ones like “I can’t believe you haven’t joined this yet, Are You Stupid!” or “How serious a marketer are you really? Only serious marketers use ‘THIS'”. I have heard reports that these tactics actually work in the short term for one time sales, but are you chasing one time sales? If you are, then this may work for you. You might also use the highly rated “sexy” marketing techniques if your particular business can be portrayed in that slant. A health and wellness company could possibly as there are usually weight loss products included in the list of items for sale. An excellent example of a well known “sexy” commercial on television is the “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” commercial

with Fabio. Butter isn’t inherently sexy, but the commercial uses the style it well. The loud, boisterous attraction also works more for the short term in general, but if you keep it loudly fresh, changing the advertising by tweaking it instead of complete changes, this may continue to show results for many months in a row. “Where’s The Beef” is one commercial that comes to mind here.

There is the sophistication edge of marketing that highlights prestige in ownership of a particular product or service. “The Elite Own a Lexus … Are You Elite?” or the very well known commercial for Obsession by Calvin Kline uses both sexy style and sophistication.

Happy cartoony marketing is also a receptive option for a marketing style for a diverse amount of business types. Caricatures, stick figures, and cartoons are just plain fun. They remind adults about their own children or remind them of being a child themselves provoking warm, carefree memories and emotions. Geico has this style nailed with their Gecko lizard.

The “Harrison Ford” style of marketing is my personal favorite and a definite must for the long term marketer. Perseverance with a great back up of delivering excellence. This is the answer for a main stream long term marketer mixed with sprinklings of happy, cartoony marketing, sophistication marketing, loud marketing, and sexy marketing (if it applies).

This perseverance marketing style is not a “flash in the pan” sparkly style by itself. Adding your personality to this style of marketing gives it the unique cleverness and difference that equates in attraction to your business itself. Set your style to work with your personality and your business. Think for yourself certainly. Letting others dictate what you market and how you market will portray

A business, not Your business. Listening to the media reports on the slumping markets and taking them to heart will also slump your business drive and change your perceptions. Focus your time on your success goals for your business and choose how you react to external forces hammering in that your marketing style is wrong if you believe it to be right. Letting others dictate for you does give you an easy out and allows those others to be blamed when failure happens, but better to be in the drivers seat and adjust your own steering.

{September 9, 2008}   Which Blogs and Social Networks?

Which Blogs and Social Networks are you comfortable and, dare I say Proud, to put your John Hancock on? I have noticed lately that some “very salesy” or “opinionated on a topic” sites do not have a “Real Name” signature to their posts. We mostly all have a nickname, or username, or other name we use as our log ins or names that show up when we post, but what about as a signature at the end of your posts? Or a profile set up so others can find out more about you?

The trend for anonymity is interesting to me. Blog Talk Radio users often have a “Handle”, if you will, bloggers use their code names (ie: Wavecritter lol),Β  Truck Drivers have always done this “On The Radio” as well with CBs.

The ones whose name is synonymous with their pass names fall into a different category than those who have sites without this information. Sometimes people worry that their views will not be accepted by the masses, others have issues with their profession or business views conflicted with their personal views. At times I have seen rather banner laden or very salesy sites without any personal contact information at all, to these sites maybe a rethink. Maybe rethink if you do not feel comfortable putting your name on the site, well, you know what I mean πŸ™‚ But, if your personal views conflict with your professional life, then quite understandable but rather unfortunate as well to be in this circumstance. Personal views, in my opinion ;), shouldn’t be clouded or hidden from view unless they are harmful. Silvia Richardson sent me something on this topic, a link to her blog is below πŸ˜‰

“Keep this philosophy in mind the next time you hear or are about to repeat a rumor.
In ancient Greece (469 – 399 BC), Socrates was widely known for his wisdom. One day the great philosopher came upon an acquaintance, who ran up to him excitedly and said, “Socrates, do you know what I just heard about one of your students…?”

“Wait a moment,” Socrates replied. “Before you tell me, I’d like you to pass a little test. It’s called the Test of Three.”

“The TEST of THREE?” the man asked.

That’s correct,” Socrates continued. “Before you talk to me about my student let’s take a moment to test what you’re going to say. The first test is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?”

“No,” the man replied, “actually I just heard about it.”

“All right,” said Socrates. “So you don’t really know if it’s true or not. Now let’s try the second test, the test of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my student something good?”

“No, on the contrary… ”

“So,” Socrates continued, “you want to tell me something bad about him even though you’re not certain it’s true?”

The man shrugged, a little embarrassed.

Socrates continued, “You may still pass though because there is a third test — the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my student going to be useful to me?”

“No, not really . . ”

“Well,” concluded Socrates, “if what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even Useful, why tell it to me at all?”

The man was defeated and ashamed and said no more.

This is the reason Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem.”

My Yearbook Social Network

Getting started at My Yearbook is an easy process.

My Yearbook is a popping HOT Social Network right now and is growing by leaps and bounds everyday. I forsee it to be rated right up there with Facebook and MySpace!

Lets Get Started!

The first thing is to go to My

You are taken to a page to either sign in or sign up.

Signing up is an easy process. Start with filling out your name, email, and choosing a password. No nicknames really, but you can type a character name as your real name if you choose with both a last and first name filled in.

Clicking the sign up enter button will take you to your front page where it will show you how complete your profile is with a percentage bar. There are links here to complete your profile step by step. Each link will take you to complete that area of your profile and explains how to do each step. If you need more step by steps. Check out the YouTube Video below.

The fun at My Yearbook and socialization is very active and exciting. There are applications like at Facebook for the OWNED program, and the massive friend requests is similar to MySpace.

Unique qualities are the Battles! You submit your photos for a contest challenge to see who is Hotter, Who Would You Rather, Best Pet, Most Artistic, Cutest Baby, Hottest Friends, Best Hair, or Best Smile. If you choose to Battle your friends you have a wide variety of choices and ones you can invent, with choices for Battling for money or for fun.

Awarding Gold Stars, High Fives, Gifts, Flirting, Become Family Members, Groupies, Signing Yearbooks, My Mag, and joining groups are just some of the activities that My Yearbook has to offer.

They also have an area for Cliff Notes! An added bonus for students that need to get ahead of their curriculum and edge on their grades. Cliff Notes are always a great added extra reading to your normal curriculum.

If you have not yet discovered My Yearbook, go and see the action, knowledge, and fun. It is climbing the ranks of the Social Networks quickly.

My Yearbook is a relatively new site that was started by Catherine and Dave, two high school students who just wanted a place for their friends. Of course now, it has turned into five million plus friends and billions of page views. They are taking ideas and the features at My Yearbook straight from all of their friends!

With battles, the owned program, matching, making awesome profiles, groupies, become a member of the family, and giving gold stars and high fives, My Yearbook is fast becoming the talk of the Internet. It has a growth rate percentage more than MySpace!

If you have not yet checked out My Yearbook, you are truly missing a great Social network experience.

We have a ton of work to do with Blogs and social networks…Lets go find some active Social networks and “Amazing” Blog sites!

{March 31, 2008}   A Review On Blog Talk Radio

The Internet and marketing any generic MLM business opportunity is changing by leaps and bounds. Lets stay ahead of the types of marketing available today and keep ourselves informed and educated on the brilliant new marketing tools out there.

Blog Talk Radio is a social network, an online radio broadcast station, and a blog site all rolled into one well presented package. Being such a fan of blogs and social networks, I naturally had to check this one out.

Blog Talk Radio is free to listen, free to join, and free to host a radio show. A Generic MLM wonderland of business tips, advice, and strategy, and an opportunity for you to have your very own platform for what you know and are excited about.

This is an entertainment, information, and business Times Square. A jumbling and melding of brilliance, color, creativity, and radio personalities. The “new Wave” of radio.

When radio started getting popular, way before the TV ever landed in homes and living rooms, people tuned into shows like Crypt Theatre, Jack Benny, Old Time westerns like Gunsmoke, and Crime Buster Radio with Ellery Queen and Sam Spade.

In todays world, the Internet has gone Radio and Blog Talk radio is the place to go. Their support team is outstanding, their layout is easy to understand and navigate, and the extras, like an added blog site, are frosting for the cake. There are also classes made available to each and every new show host that signs up, with helpful, professional instruction to get your first show running as smoothly as possible. Of course, with first shows, there might be some happy and not so happy mistakes or unexpected surprises. Just go with the flow on your first show and there should be smoother sailing as time goes on.

Have your Generic MLM cake and eat it too at Blog Talk Radio. I am hoping to see you, I mean hear you there. Remember, happiness is only real if it is shared.

Blogs and Social Networks in general are expanding and growing daily, scratch that, hourly. The amount of people reaching out for world wide friendship is amazing and exciting.

The first stop in our journey today will be to the video mogul of YouTube. Like the glamor and sparkle of the Las Vegas strip with the culture and information of the Museums, Hoover Dam, and The Grand Canyon, comedy like Ray Romano and Kevin James, shows and magic like Chris Angel and The Blue Man Group, YouTube has it all. Sign up, upload a video you created or just view the hundreds of thousands of videos already here. Join a group or enter a video contest, just broadcast yourself.

How about we visit the tops on the fun, chatty charts by taking a trip to the Twin Cities, MN, Greatest Shopping Mall Of America! IMVU!

IMVU is an outstanding, fun, digital, graphic image maker, and player site. You create a little “you” image, and dress up, buy items and clothes and hair styles and much more, take photos of the virtual “you” , go on a Ferris Wheel, in a cafe, disco, wherever the little “you” wants to play, get photographed, purchase items with credits, chat, engage, and virtually have the time of your Internet life! Missgreenbacks, Lucky, IMVUInc, and Charm are there to get you rolling and help your navigation! The Greatest Shopping Mall Of The Internet World awaits at IMVU.

Let’s Move along now, down the cobblestone streets of Amsterdam and join in on the group activities and artistic Rembrandt talents of the members of WetPaint Wiki. Get a community gathering started and become a sightseeing tour down the Amsterdam canal. Design graphics and flourishes that match your Wiki design with Paint Splatters. Wikis are websites that everyone can build together. It’s easy. Come to community fun and information spot, build a page, add a widget, leave your mark on the adventure of the Wiki!

Questing ever further into blogs and social networks we arrive, (and some say “finally”) at the Blogs and Social Networks dream adventure. The Tibet, if you will, of the day. Friendster is the highest peak to reach and the most tranquil, easy-going of the industry. The Friendster crew is always helpful and pleasant. Add Apps, Get Connected, Explore, and Search through the mountainous region that is Friendster. With a separate, but unified blogging city, Friendster creates a collective environment of exploration, fun, and friends.

Throughout the journey, the road less traveled or the highway to the blogging world, we notice the actual “road” is My BlogLog. An outstanding intersection of continuing highways and byways of interconnectedness. This is My BlogLog. It actually weaves together the blogs and social networks of today, melding them into the off ramps of tomorrow.

Getting and staying connecting in the blogs and social networks world on the Internet is an experience of a lifetime. Our pasts did not even include this awesome situational entertainment and friendship.
