{May 16, 2008}   Friend Connect By Google

Reading the excitement out on the Internet about Connectability and Portable Data is all the buzz surrounding Google, Facebook, MySpace, Blogs and Social networks, Internet Marketers and more. Inviting friends and influencing people are all the current rage on social network sites, connecting all of this together is a huge job that Google is tackling with Friend Connect.

“Google Friend Connect integrates with contact lists for social networks like Facebook, orkut and Google Talk. This means users who join your site are instantly connected with friends who are already members, and can invite friends from other networks to visit. They can opt in to broadcasting their activities to friends in their social networks. A post to your message board, for example, can instantly be visible to people in multiple social networks, along with links leading to your site. These instant networks, combined with the wealth of OpenSocial gadgets, can form potent new online communities, very quickly and very easily.”

After reading the article and getting excited for Google yet again, I really started thinking about this concept. I think the benefit will be to the websites who use this application for certain, but (isn’t there always a but? 🙂 It will, in essence, be like a HUGE Twitter badge or widget on a website. Blogs and Social Networks are connecting in many ways today.

If you have multiple email accounts for instance, and merge them all together to be then forwarded to say Outlook Express. Well, then say you are an Internet Marketer who has several email accounts, and you decided to merge ALL That together! Hmmmm…

Now, what if you have 5 or 10 active social networks? That start to acquire a great deal of time from you. You have already mentally placed a priority system on the sites you like best so you visit them more often and consequently spend more time there. What if you merged all of the messages, chats, and content?

Hmmm…

It will be nice to jump from one to the other, have a “Hub” so to speak, but will it or would it be overwhelming for some? Or will it make life on the Internet much more simple having a one stop for your social information? I, personally, am eager to find out.

We have a ton of work to do with Blogs and social networks…Lets go find some active Social networks and “Amazing” Blog sites!

{March 11, 2008}   Social Network Today

Social Network Today is the official “buzz” term on the net it seems. The social networks are full of excited, interesting, energetic, and brilliant people. Maybe you need some ideas on how to enjoy your social network today?

With any social network today, joining groups, and interacting is a must. Being sure your blog site url is available, this will help greatly in your friends getting to know you better. Be sure to list your blog url at every social network you have a profile. Set up some time, every 2 to 5 days, a minimum is once a week for your social networks.

Prioritize the social networks you are a member of. Give them a rank of sorts on which ones you visit more often. If you know you will be super busy one week, let every know what you are doing, so they won’t miss you too much. Everyone here is your friend and I know I worry when I don’t here from someone in my group for a week or better. Keeping in touch with your new friends is important.

Always be kind, even in a disagreement or when you are commenting. There is always a chance for disagreements with any social network today, but keeping your thoughts and word friendly, respectful, and pleasant is always appreciated. Make friends and add every one you are able to and see who you like best out of the group and get to know those people. People are cool! And everyone has things that they are good at and know about. You can tell them about stuff you know….hobbies, interests, Vacations you took, what kind of pet you have and love, anything that you would like to share.

Put your business aside and in your profile area. Using the signature for your blogsite url is a much more personal way to introduce yourself than to shout “Here, Look at My Business”.

Asking questions is best, but only if you really are interested in what the answer is and joining or starting a group can be a fun way to meet like minded friends. One of the best groups to join is a blogging group. Those interested in blogging, the bloggers of the social networks are online alot! You will be able to talk to them more frequently. And list your blog site in with social network group.

Blogging and Social networks have been called one of the addicting fads. Many teenagers have resorted to blogging as an outlet for their emotions in a positive way. Teenagers and young people as well as the older blogging crowd, have new artistic talents and great informational articles out there posted in the social network sites or on personal blog sites.

Many online bloggers and people in the social network today, write reviews. Reviews are meant for your personal opinion on any topic in the known Universe! Be sure to review mainly that what you enjoy! But, throw in a well worded review here and there about a topic, site, or blog that could be better and why you think so. What social network today is really all about is getting closer to a family of friends in the World, not just your home town. It is brilliant to me that so many are looking for new friends and coversation buddies.

That’s pretty much the base line of the social network today, meet friends, have fun, and set up a great profile…Enjoy!

Blogs And Social Networks

Wave

Have you ever really considered just how big the Internet is? Or the number of people currently connected or joining every day? It staggers the mind, doesn’t it? With the playground of events, music choices, video on demand, photos and graphics, interests, personalities, news, business tips, information, and excitement out there the lone blog is like an inner tube on the ocean.

I understand that it can be difficult at best to navigate around the Internet if you have not yet mastered your keyboard and mouse. Here is a fun way to get acquainted with your computer, mouse, keyboard, the Internet, and make some friends all at the same time. I am going to show you how to add a profile layout, (those cool looking graphics and pictures you see on web pages) at a social network site called MySpace. You can then take what you have learned and start to play around at blog sites or other social network sites. If you use your search engine you can find some good ones and most of the time they are free to join, giving you a free web page to say hello to the world.

{October 10, 2007}   A Writers Prose

A Writers Prose Some thoughts on writing…..

Take Yourself back to a land far away

or to a galaxy light years beyond

earth or to an island adventure with

pirates and treasure. Chances are,

you will be remembering the visions

a writer created in your dreams.

A book, simple and elegant at once,

is our resource for imagination that

the writers of the world share with us,

for a means to expand our minds

and get lost in the words.

Writers are compelled to write, and

then re-write until the vision and

message leap off the page, taking

the reader on a fantastic journey of

knowledge, imagination, or reality.

Writers bring out creativity and

emotion in their audience, causi

ng them to seem, somehow, a part

of the authors life.
